Playa Penoncillo is a large beach situated along the coast road between Torrox Costa and Nerja.

The beach is made up mainly of shingle with a few sandy areas and because of it's size is never over crowded. All along the beach there are bars and cafe/restaurants specialising in fish and local produce. Famous is 'El Barco' restaurant with it's outdoor setting.
