The Apartment
2 twin bedrooms with ceiling fans
A light airy living room leading to the terrace, with view of the mountains,
the sea, and towards the town. Digital TV and DVD
Fitted kitchen with oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster. Washing
machine.
Bathroom with bath, shower, toilet, wash basin.
Separate cloakroom with toilet and wash basin.
Secure parking.
There are several steps to the front door, and to the beach, so this apartment
is not really suitable for anyone with mobility problems. However, the
views make the steps well worth it!
The Area
The apartment faces south-west. It is a 5-minute downhill stroll to the
Burriana Beach area, where there is a variety of bars and restaurants,
and a well-stocked mini-market (make sure you go to Ayo's restaurant for
paella at least once!). A 15-minute walk takes you into the centre of
Nerja, or you can drive.
Nerja itself is a
very attractive town, with the famous Balcón de Europa at its heart.
There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, and at least 6 different
beaches. You can get your bearings by taking a ride in a horse-drawn carriage.
Getting there
It takes approximately 1-hour to drive from Malaga airport, and Nerja is
within easy reach of the Caves of Nerja, Frigiliana and other 'white' hillside
villages, the Sierra Nevada, and the beautiful city of Granada. It is easy
and quite cheap to hire a car, and buses and taxis are available too. |
